Photosensitivity-safe mode
Flashing images can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Safe mode is on by default.
With Settings → Safety & accessibility → Photosensitivity-safe mode on, the app measures the actual brightness of every frame it shows and limits how quickly it can rise, so the picture flashes fewer than three times a second, following the WCAG 2.3.1 guideline. Darkening is never held back. It also softens the beat pulse.
Leave it on whenever you're showing visuals to an audience. If you turn it off, the visuals can flash much harder.
Reduced motion
Reduced motion makes everything calmer: more smoothing, and no hard cuts (transitions become crossfades). It starts on if your system's reduce motion setting is on.
Keyboard and screen readers
- Every control can be reached with the keyboard (Tab moves between them), and every action has a shortcut — see keyboard shortcuts.
- Controls have labels for screen readers, and messages are announced as they appear.
- The guided tour can be driven from the keyboard (→, ←, Esc).
Brightness and comfort
- Intensity (Scene → Motion & transition) scales overall brightness.
- Blackout (B) fades the screens to black at any moment.
- Each output window has its own brightness.
